The Duke of Wellington, Shoreham is playing host to a very special charity gig on the evening of Thursday 19th January
Sussex's premier sea shanty crew "The Wellington Wailers" will be performing their light hearted set of shanties.
Special guests will be the Coxswain and crew of the Shoreham Lifeboat and representatives of the Brighton Masons.
The main event, during the proceedings, will be to present the Lifeboat Coxswain with monies collected from the generous donations of the Brighton Masons a colossal sum of £2,400 pounds and for the Wailer’s own contribution of a further £1000 pounds.
The Wellington Wailers have already donated, in total, over £6000 pounds, to the Lifeboat, with the sales of their two C.D's ; For every C.D sold £5 is given to the Shoreham Lifeboat plus bucket collections from live performances in the Duke of Wellington, Brighton Road, Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43 6RE.
